After weeks of muttering to myself that I should do something about it, Barley has finally received a bath and a pedicure to sculpt and blunt her alarmingly gnarly claws. Ordinarily, walking her fair share would be enough to slow her claws down, but between my workload and the very chilly weather, our walks have been shorter and more perfunctory, so them toes were getting a little bit witchy, putting various cable-knit sweaters at risk. For her part, Barley was not wild about the process, but tolerated it well enough in exchange for a drip-feed of small, tasty treats.
